Based in Vielmur-sur-Agout (dept 81), a village located between Toulouse and Castres, the artisanal soap factory Louise Émoi puts all its energy into the manufacture of cold soaps, which respect the strictest organic farming standards, shun palm oil and encourage local producers.
The adventure began 12 years ago when, very young, the daughter of Véronique, the founder, had skin problems: she could not stand shower gels. It was then that Véronique started making soap, just for her. Her skin problems vanished. Then she started to distribute it around her. At the end of three years, she definitely embarks on the profession of soap maker. A year and a half later, she settled down through a cooperative, and five years later, the company changed shape. Véronique works with Louise and Matthieu, her associates, who have been part of the adventure from the start.
Louise Émoi offers, among other things, oat, donkey or sheep milk soap or simple olive oil soap, all surrounded by biodegradable paper. The company also sells organic men's skincare, balms and oils, as well as solid toothpaste and deodorant.
