The story of Oil counter it is above all the story of a family who became explorers of beauty in Madagascar. The story of Stéphane, Virginie and their three boys.
It is under Stéphane's impetus that the whole family sees their life turned upside down. R&D and Innovation manager for a multinational in the plastic chemistry industry, Stéphane decided in 2007 to start producing castor oil in Madagascar while supporting fragile communities.
Thus was born PhileoL Madagascar which produces 100% natural and ethical vegetable oils on the island. Its mode of operation makes it possible to improve the living conditions of Malagasy inhabitants, by working on an artisanal culture. More than 7,000 families work alongside them for the harvest.
PhileoL France is based in the Grand Est region and processes oilseeds from PhileoL Madagascar which could not be processed on site for technological reasons.
Finally, PhileoL Cosmetic is developing the range of cosmetics from these oils, for which Comptoir des Huiles is attached.
